Recently most of us tuned into the State of the Union address - SOTU where Michelle Obama broke tradition and wore a non-American designer for the annual event. She looked stunning in a recycled Azzedine Alaia Dress, that she had previously wore in December 2012 when she and the President sat down with Barbara Walters for a Nightline interview.

The 50 year old health advocate charmed us in the silk, knee-length, full-skirted dress paired with a belt and matching bolero jacket by Tunisian-born, Paris-based couturier Alaia. Even though the First Lady stands by U.S.- based designers like Narciso Rodriguez, Isaac Mizrahi. and her favorite, Jason Wu for previous SOTU addresses,

Her history with Alaia, started in 2009 after she wore his design to a dinner in Germany.
