Beauty in the Stars!

**This column evolved from doing thousands of astrology readings for major cosmetic firms and discovering that one’s natural beauty of healthy skin and healthy hair is revealed in the astrology chart. Based on a person’s planets their beauty requirements can be different from the next person’s due to the energies and aspects of the planets. Beauty is not only skin deep, but it is revealed in the astrology chart. Make up and cosmetics in my opinion should be used to enhance ones own natural beauty and not cover up. This column is concerned with accentuating what you’re born with and having your own unique beauty naturally!

Rat: Revelatory Rat, who can match your way with a good story? The past two years have fed and sustained you, and there has been a lot to tell. Why stop now, right? When change is on the way, there is always something good to report, a new story to tell. Reporter Rat, get out into the world and see what is transpiring. You can produce a lot of good work over the next couple of years, and when the Fire Monkey comes in 2016, you will find yourself well placed for your book tours or your next great assignment. Creative work is your ticket this year and the next, and it is an activity for which you are well endowed. Take full advantage and see what this year inspires in you. Although Horses and Rats can have opposing views, a lively debate inspires new points of view, and you are always up for that. Besides, few people are as good as you at debating a point. Although the year may seem imposing, you are up for the challenge, and if you can rise to the occasion, in a short time you will be recognized for some very memorable work!

enter image description here

Ox: The Chinese have a saying regarding relations between the animal signs: “The Horse fears the Ox.” Why would this be so, obstinate Ox? You are the picture of persistent, persevering purpose, yes? Last year saw you make good gains along your chosen line, and you see no reason to change your course, correct? Well, this year maybe the tables will be turned on the old Chinese saying, and you may well have to make adjustments to your plans. You see no need to make changes? Well, consider that the new things to come from this year may well be the inspiration for even greater gains in the future for you, oh opulent one, rather than a thorn in your side. Though you may feel a little ill at ease with what is coming, there is the possibility of rich benefit in the future for you, especially in a couple for years’ time when the energies of the times will again feed your considerable drive and ambition. Take this year and the next as a time to reflect. There is no need to change the basis of what you have done. That is sound and secure. Instead, see what is on offer and look at how to incorporate it into the future. This is one Horse who has no fear of you, and why should it, anyway? If you hook your cart to this Horse, great things can come your way. Be open; be observant this year, and your future could exceed your every expectation!

enter image description here

Tiger: Tenacious Tiger, how long you have stalked your quarry—and now the time has come to claim your prize. Waste no time in further positioning yourself. Seize that for which you have waited and revel in the gains to be made. This is year when the heavens shower blessings upon you. Wood is your natural element, creative motivation your forte, and the Wood Horse is your favorite friend in the Chinese zodiac—except for other Tigers, of course! You love the wide open spaces, but you also know all the best hiding places. This year is no time to hide yourself away. Your range is vast, your opportunities here and now. Seek out Dogs and Horses—and other Tigers, of course!—and success can be yours this year. Seize the day: the time for talk is done!

enter image description here

Rabbit: Restive Rabbit, stirred from your repose, now the earth moves under you and inspiration awaits. The past couple have years have fed your already expansive psyche, and now you sense that the vision you have sought is about to become complete. How right you are! Like your Tiger companion, you are in your element this year, and anything you seek to do can become a reality. Why search among the myriad alternative realities, which you love to do, when you can create your own here and now? That is the promise this year holds for you. Even though Horses and Rabbits may not always see eye to eye, this one has a gift for you, and a little meditation will be all you need to realize it. Commune with Pigs and Sheep, charm a Snake, rely on Rat—they all have things to share with you, and you in kind with them. Yours is a magical world, mystic one, but magic is a force for change in the world, and in this year you will find the means to work your magic in this world!

enter image description here

Dragon: Doubtful Dragon, why do you seem so confused? Has someone stolen your limelight? Has the audience shifted their gaze to another stage? There is no reason you cannot share the stage. The Horse looks for partners, even though they can go it alone, and this one has a lot on offer for you. You love change and shock factor, yes? And really, the Horse is one of your allies—and a powerful one, too. Since you like change, take this as a year to investigate new ways of doing. Be on the vanguard of the changes to come and expect that great things will eventuate. If you can take advantage of this year, the stage will again soon be yours, especially when your other close ally, the Monkey, arrives in 2016. Seek out the Rat and listen to what comes across the social media. There you will find your clues for the emerging trends. Though this may seem to be a year where things do not quite seem to go your way, you will find that if you can set your sites on the cutting edge, then your imagination will be inspired to greatness. So, let the Horse have its time in the sun and enjoy the show. It will be a good one! And in the years to follow, we will again be following your show. We can hardly wait!

enter image description here

Snake: Stylish Snake, the past two years may have left you feeling hung out to dry, but this year is going to be completely different for you. You elemental companion, the Horse, has a veritable smorgasbord on offer for you this year, and you are about to find yourself renewed and ready for a brighter future. Although you are refined and subtle—qualities not normally associated with Horses—if you have any artistic leanings this year will support and nourish those abilities in you. This is one artistic Horse! The Wood Horse is a superb draftsman and has quite an eye for detail, and this you can well appreciate. This will be an intriguing year for you, and you do like a little intrigue, do you not? There has been quite a lot going on behind the scenes, some of which you may have had inside information about, and you can now come forward and do a tell-all story. Finances will increase for you this year. Talk to your Ox and Rooster friends and see how you might hatch a plan to make you all well- off far into the future. Get in on the ground floor with enterprises this year and in 2016 and 2017 you may well find yourself in a very good place indeed!

enter image description here

Horse: You may have felt corralled the past couple of years, disheartened Horse, but the sun is about to shine its rays onto new vistas for you. 2014 will be a year that feeds your natural enthusiasm and indomitable spirit, and while the past two water years have not exactly been refreshing, you are about to be renewed in a big way. Wood brings out all of your creative and inspirational gifts, so if you have had some plans in the back of your mind, now is the time to jump the fences that have been holding you back and gallop fast and free into the green pastures that await you. Nature will be a big inspiration for you, as will all forms of art. Media of any type will be your pallet as you paint your vision large on the canvas of life. Seek out your colleagues and be daring, which you do so well. You are an inspiration to everyone and a natural leader. Heaven knows that we need good leaders in these times of great change. There is nothing to stop you this year, noble Horse. Be daring, show your natural confidence; exude your enthusiasm for living, and the world will open its arms to you. You never were one to be a shrinking violet. You are a big spirit, our stellar Steed. Step forward and be recognized as the inspiration you are!

enter image description here

Sheep: You are the picture of kindness, sympathetic Sheep, and people look to you for solace and advice in hard times. You have had your work cut out for you in the years just past, but now is the time for you to set your sights inward and work toward something that is uniquely you. People may think you to be soft and too accommodating, but they are about to see you transformed into a real presence in the outer world. Over the next couple of years you will find yourself with reserves of energy and fortitude that may surprise even you, though you know your own mind pretty well. This year try on a new study, or do something that challenges your already deep and circumspect intellect. Like your sibling the Horse, you are a real force in the world, although you go about it quietly. Over the coming years there will be an emphasis on social welfare, an arena in which you are quite at home, but your mere presence has a way of bringing about change in people. Bring about the change in yourself this year, studious Sheep, and from next year you will walk with your head held high. You will surprise yourself and others with what you can achieve.

enter image description here

Monkey: Marvelous Monkey, who can match your skill and expertise? The last two years saw you produce an abundance of fine work, but now it is time to reap the benefits of that work. In the next two years you need to make a media statement, to put your skills on display. Yes, we know it is not your thing, but your brother, the Rooster, could teach you a thing or two about presentation. You do so like to learn new things, so why not direct that active imagination of yours to the creative use of media—not the technical aspects of it, but how it can influence people. The world needs to know about what you can do, which is quite a lot, and the depths of your skill base, which is profound. This year especially and the next, too, should have you ‘in the money’, so you need to take full advantage of this opportunity. It will be another decade before it comes around again. You need only apply a little imagination and play with the ideas that come—your strongest suit—and you will come up with something that will engage us for years to come. Share your gifts with us. Dazzle us with your brilliance. We know you have it in you!

enter image description here

Rooster: Remarkable Rooster, no one plays the front man better than you. This year and the next you are building toward a culminating time in your life. Do you have everything in place? Is the stage well-lit and decorated to perfection? Oh, but perfection is the name of your game, resourceful Rooster. You are a mouthpiece for the times and you were born to take the stage. Like your Monkey sibling, you are able to manifest great things this year, and really, you must! Like the Horse, presence is your forte and you are never one to go unnoticed. Mix with people, draw upon your old friendships and forge new ones. Use your considerable media skills to their best effect and in a few years when your sign rolls around again you will find yourself well-placed to make a grand statement about your life. It is not bragging when you can back up what you say, and you have spent a lifetime polishing and brooding over your abilities, which you have mastered. From now and over the next few years it is time for you make a statement and put yourself on full display. People respect and revere mastery of an art or discipline, and you have some things to show us.

enter image description here

Dog: Domestic Dog, the home front may be a place of comfort and solace for you, but this year is no time to hole yourself away from the world and tell stories by the fire. You have a powerful ally in the Horse and much to inspire your natural activity and creativity. Yes, you can still share your tales, but tell them to the world instead of the select few. We want to hear about your exploits. Set up a blog, publish a book, and get the word out—the time for play has come! Seek out your fellow Tigers and Horses and get proactive. Even though the Wood element might feel a little controlling this year, it is a great time to take up exercise regimes and to look into something new, something that will challenge you. You do enjoy a good challenge, do you not? It will get you out of the house. Take your family on a trip, someplace far, someplace you would not have ordinarily gone. This is a year of changing perspectives for you, and in the coming years you will find yourself in a different, yet better place, and the Year of the Horse will start you on that path. Social media is a strong point with you.

enter image description here

Pig: Pecuniary Pig, the past year may not have agreed with you on every particular, but it was a year where you were in your natural element, and the communicative aspects of Water should have brought you many fine contacts with who you could hatch future ventures. Nurture those contacts well and slowly put things into place, for when the Fire Monkey makes its appearance in 2016, followed by the Red Rooster in 2017, your genius for finance will finally have found its pot of gold. You can wait, for you are good at the game of patience. No one quite does that better than you, and in this next couple of years you can do a lot to make certain your plans come off to greatest effect, making you and the company you keep quite a nice little windfall. Then you can take some time off and really enjoy the life you have made for yourself. Patient Pig, you are almost there. Plan carefully now and soon you will enjoy a well-deserved rest with family and friends. Stay the course!

Beauty Tip Of The Week:

Our beauty tip of the week comes from makeup artist JoAnn Solomon from Elizabeth Arden’s Red Door concerning winter care of skin. According to JoAnn, The harsh winter weather can be more then just cold, the blast of arctic chill can leave the skin lack luster and dull. The best way to combat lifeless skin is thru exfoliation or by gently sloshing off dead skin cells. If you find that when you add moisturizer and your skin still feels dry, then you are the perfect candidate for exfoliation. So what kind of exfoliation should you do? While some prefer a hi tech tool, others prefer a simple scrub, here are a few options; the clairsonic is an amazing device that has a timer to scrub each spot on your face for only a few seconds, to avoid over scrubbing. It also takes off all over your makeup. If going high tech is not your style choosing a exfoliating skin cream will work just as well. Larger size granules scrubs are good for normal to oily skin types, while smaller granular scrubs are great for sensitive skin. Your facial scrub may be applied one to two times a week at most to get a radiate skin glow. Be gentle to your face and love the skin your in!
