Nas Partnering Up With 'Saving Our Daughters' Organization

What a great father!

Nas recently sat down with MTV and talked about how he’s helping out this holiday season and a special organization he’s attached him name to. “This time of the year is when I really get anxious to help out in any way I can.” And with a little inspiration from his daughter Destiny Jones, the Queens native is partnering with Saving Our Daughters Organization.

S.O.D is an organization which drives a celebrity-inspired book series and empowers community activism, teaching young women to value integrity, service, teaches professionalism, experimental learning and provides them with the tools they need to succeed in life. Countless celebrities have joined forces with the organization like rapper T.I. actress Keke Palmer, Janet Jackson, Maya Angelou, Keri Hilson and many others.

Nas shared that he wants to set an example for his daughter, hoping to inspire her to give back and even more. When discussing how Destiny has impacted his life he explains, “She made me more responsible in lots of ways. She made me want to stay around at a time in my life where it didn’t matter. It made me care. I stayed safe and stayed around and alive.”

Great move on his part.
