Ebro In The Mornings w/ Laura Stylez & Rosenberg

It’s finally happened, a day after Coach Rex Ryan benched Mark Sanchez and named 3rd stringer Greg McElroy the starter for this Sunday’s game, reports are saying that the Jets will look into trading the face of their franchise once the season is over.

Mark Sanchez delivered the team to 2 AFC Championship games since his four years with the Jets but within those years have showed no signs of progression. But that became even more clear recently where he's turned the ball over 50 times in the last 30 games. However Sanchez has a guaranteed $8.25 million base salary on his contract so the Jets’ organization will have to pick that up, something I’m sure they'll be willing to do.

So who are the Jets looking to replace him with?

According to sources, Gang Green is looking to sign Philadelphia Eagles’ star QB Michael Vick who will more than likely be let go by the Eagles after the season. NFL.com’s Ian Rappaport says that Vick would be very interested in joining the team under a few conditions, Mark Sanchez cannot be the starter and he would like to be paid more than him.

Coach Ryan may be the deciding factor to having Vick join the team. Apparently Ryan has been a big fan of his for some time now and he knows that his head coaching job is hanging on by a thread but if he’s able to pull this off, he would save himself from getting kicked to the curb.

Jets Nation, what are we thinking here? Good move if we get Vick?
