The HOT 97 Morning Show

Pete Rock was interviewed on ESPN’s First Take recently about his opinion on the Lakers' recent win streak and accusations of Ray Lewis’ steroid abuse.

Most of the talking was done by the very opinionated Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless until Pete Rock was asked about the Lakers and the fact that they are 14-3 this season when Kobe Bryant takes 20 or fewer shots.
Rock had this to say about Kobe carrying his team: "I think if he becomes that distributor for his teammates, passing the ball getting everyone involved, I think they can keep it up and make that run," said Pete Rock, who believes Kobe will continue facilitating. Stephen A. Smith wasn't buying in, though he admits that "Kobe can do what he wants to do."

When ask bout the allegations against Ray Lewis that claim he has been using performance-enhancing drugs, Pete Rock seemed conflicted about the issue, and then stated that he hopes the accusations are not true.
