In what appears to be a scene taken out of an action-thriller movie, eight masked men have snatched $50 million worth of diamonds in plain sight with a clean getaway in Switzerland.
The incident happened at Brussels’ international airport. The armed, seemingly “professional” thieves, posing as the police, allegedly cut a hole in one of the airport’s gates. Their small convoy of two black cars sped through the gate and then boarded the target plane to snatch up the gems. They waved machine guns at pilots and security transport workers and took the diamonds from the hold (accessed from outside.)
The gang of thieves managed to cut the hole in the fence, pick up the diamonds, avoided getting caught and made a clean escape in just under five minutes.
This had to be an inside job! What’s up with all these movie turned reality stories going on though? First Christopher Dorner with his real life James Bond movie and now this?
