The HOT 97 Morning Show

DMX’s ex-wife, Tashera Simmons has accused rapper 50 Cent of being the reason why her show was canceled.

Tasher claims that because of a “sexist double standard,” the reality TV series “Starter Wives Confidential” which also stars the exes of 50 Cent, Lamar Odom, and Funkmaster Flex was cancelled.

Simmons made this statement about the show being pulled from TLC’s network and takes a shot at 50:

"I am very disappointed by the sequence of events that has taken place in the last week. It's disheartening that the show was cancelled after two episodes due to many inflated egos. I am no stranger to television and what just happened was unheard of and completely unorthodox. There were millions of dollars and a lot of hard work put into this project by the producers, staff, and my co-stars. It's hard to believe that there are still some fundamental issues in our society about women speaking up or having a voice. It's okay for rappers to get on television and tell their story about how many times they were shot or how they were heavily in the drug game, but it's not okay for women to share their story about their life experiences. Starter Wives Confidential was more than a show about bitter or entitled women it was about a group of women stepping out of the shadows of their ex's and finding their way in life personally and professionally."

The cancellation was a surprise to all the cast members and the network did send them a letter stating that they pulled the plug because of low ratings, however the women feel that’s not completely true and that an outside source was the cause.

50 Cent posted a tweet where he kind of claims responsibility for the show’s cancellations saying, "I want to apologize to cast of Starter Wives for having the show pulled off the net work (sic). i sincerely hope you find work.”

You can still watch the show online at TLC.com
