The HOT 97 Morning Show

Bernard Hopkins is officially the oldest boxer to win a major title at 48 years old.

Hopkins defeated Tavoris Cloud with a unanimous 12-round decision for the IBF Light Heavyweight Championship at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Hopkins took over the match from the start, winning by being patient and beating his opponent technically, landing punches and countering his opponent's throws effectively.

Hopkins landed numerous jabs to Cloud’s face, opening a cut above his left eye. Hopkins landed 169 of 417 punches, with Cloud landing 139 of 650.

Hopkins proves just because your older, it doesn’t mean you lose your skills. Congratulations!
