The HOT 97 Morning Show

NYPD Commissioner Raymond Kelly, first proposed by music executive Michael “Blue” Williams, has authorized a plan called “Guns for Greatness."

“Guns for Greatness” is a buyback plan – people that own illegal guns will be allowed to trade them in at Brooklyn’s Christian Cultural Center on March 30th from 10 AM to 4 PM for tickets to big hip-hop concerts in the summer.

Williams told the NY Daily News, "It's about galvanizing the Hip-Hop community to help and use our influence to make it happen."

Tickets for shows being given away include Jay-Z & Justin Timberlake's "Legends of Summer," Beyoncé's "The Mrs. Carter Show," and Alicia Keys' "Girl On Fire" tour.

This program is the first of its kind in New York City and absolutely genius.
