Homophobia has been a huge problem in hip-hop and accepting the gay community has been hard for some rappers out there – you know this when you hear the homophobic slurs and references used in their records.
In a recent interview with The Guardian, Snoop Lion was asked about Frank Ocean’s “coming out” and if him doing that would pave the way for others in the “hip-hop world” to do the same. Snoop answered, “Frank Ocean ain't no rapper. He’s a singer. It's acceptable in the singing world, but in the rap world I don't know if it will ever be acceptable because rap is so masculine.”
Do you agree with Snoop? Would you still support a rapper if he was gay? Would you still support your favorite rapper if he turned out to be gay?
