As the Knicks 2013 season tires down and they get ready for the playoffs this Saturday, their roster is shrinking in size due to injuries, bringing the current roster down to 15 players.
Rasheed Wallace officially retired, putting to rest any opportunities of him providing crucial minutes off the bench for any playoff games.
Meanwhile, Pablo Prigioni sprained his right ankle during Wednesday’s game resulting in him leaving in crutches. Prigioni’s injury is classified as a serious injury, while the others are considered minor.
Chris Copeland unfortunately had his shoulder popped out but was popped back in while Iman Shumpert left the same game with what was believed to be a knee scar but it was later discovered to be a cramp.
Coach Mike Woodson isn't sure if Shumpert would be ready to compete in the Knicks’ upcoming playoff game against the Celtics, saying “It’s going to be a loss not having him around. I was a little shocked. When you’ve played a number of years in this league, you know there comes a time you can’t answer the bell anymore.’’
Knicks should be able to pull through either way. Crunch time!
