Like I said before, rappers are really going to have to watch what they say or do now, especially if they’re trying to get corporate money.
Mountain Dew had to remove a new Tyler The Creator advertisement due to the racial stereotypes and violence in the commercial.
As soon as PepsiCo learned of the commercial offensive nature they immediately removed the commercial. The ad was developed by Tyler and in this commercial depicted a beaten white woman on crutches attempting to identify a suspect in a line full of African American males.
Felicia “the goat”, who Tyler put in his last commercial for the drink, was added into the lineup and making disrespectful threats to the woman saying things like, “Ya better not snitch on a playa" and "Keep ya mouth shut." This lead to the woman running away and screaming "I can't do this, no no no!"
PepsiCo issued an apology stating "We apologize for this video and take full responsibility. We have removed it from all Mountain Dew channels and Tyler is removing it from his channels as well."

Well if you have Tyler directing and creating commercials for you, you can expect something like this from him lol. Either way, I think big companies are all now being extra careful with people who represent their brand, especially in hip-hop.
