The HOT 97 Morning Show


Lauryn Hill has really gone through a lot in her life and more recently, she has been sentenced to do three months in prison for tax evasion.

Fans and supporters from around the globe penned letters to the judge on her behalf in hopes of getting Ms. Hill off the hook.

Lauryn expressed her gratitude on her Tumblr, thanking everyone for wrote to the judge and two famous names are included on the list-- Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys:

It’s sad to see Lauryn go to jail….what happened to her? She was at the top, one of the best, if not the best female rapper ever, and then things just went downhill…I still listen to The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill to this day.
