George Zimmerman’s not guilty verdict shocked the country and everyone from musicians, to actors, to activists reacted on social media including sports athletes.

Everyone chimed in on Twitter after hearing news that Zimmerman was acquitted of all his charges, and able to carry the firearm he used to kill Travyon again.

Their reactions are the same as many of us out there –- feelings of anger, confusion, pain, and the needed call for change:

Lebron James posted this photo of him and the Miami Heat team all wearing hoodies with the hashtag "#WeAreTrayvonMartin.”

But, tweets from NY Giants Victor Cruz, and Atlanta Falcons’ Roddy White got them in a lot of trouble and they had to issue an apology for it.

Their reaction over the Zimmerman verdict was clearly an emotional one and they’ve since deleted the tweets.

Cruz initially tweeted, “Thoroughly confused. Zimmerman doesn't last a year before the hood catches up to him."

After deleting the tweet the following day, Vic issued an apology and the reason behind his outburst:

Roddy White also had to apologize immediately for his tweet when he sent this out:

As you can see, everyone from all walks of life are affected by the news…let’s hope the U.S. Department of Justice can charge Zimmerman and send him to jail where he truly belongs.
