Pentagon Chief Overturns 1994 Rule, Women Are Now Able To Serve On The Front Lines

The frontlines are about to look really different in a great way.

Pentagon Chief Leon Panetta has overturned a rule from 1994 that prevented women from serving the military’s infantry. Jobs in small-scale combat units are projected to open up sometime later this year, while positions in the Army Special Forces and Navy Seals are expected to take longer.

This change could potentially open up more than two-hundred thirty thousand jobs to women in the Army and Marine Corps.

Yes, equality! Women who want to be fight for this country on the frontlines should be able to and I’m so happy that they now can!
