Rolling Stone named its 50 Best Albums of 2013. Featured in the top 20 are Kanye West’s “Yeezus,” Drake’s “Nothing Was The Same,” and Danny Brown’s “Old.”
Kanye’s Yeezus was the highest rap album on the list, and it came in at number 2.
According to Rolling Stone, "Kanye's electro masterpiece is his most extreme album ever, which is saying something… It’s basically the Metal Machine Music concept translated into futuristic Hip Hop, all industrial overload and hyper-tense egomania and hostile vibes."
Drake’s Nothing Was The Same ranked in at 14 and Danny Brown ranked in at 17. Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2 is number 24 on the list and Chance The Rapper’s Acid Rap is number 26.
Pusha T’s debut album, My Name Is My Name is also on the list, ranking in at 33 while J. Cole is at 41 with his sophomore album, Born Sinner.
