Scary Footage Of The Meteorite That Slammed Into Central Russia Injuring More Than 500 People [VIDEO]

The world did not end on December 21st, 2012 but chaos has officially begun.

Footage of the meteorite that shook up Central Russia and injured more than 500 people really shows you how powerless we are as when it comes to Mother Nature.

On Friday, a meteorite flew across the sky hitting Chelyabinsk, Russia and exploding in the city. People saw fireballs hitting the ground and were scared to death by the loud explosion that lit the sky as glass windows shattered upon impact.

Russia's Emergencies Ministry said 514 people needed medical help for minor injuries from the flying glass and 112 of those were kept in hospital.

NASA said an asteroid about the size of an Olympic swimming pool, known as 2012 DA14, would have an encounter with Earth closer than any asteroid since scientists began monitoring them 15 years ago this Friday at approximately at 2:24 p.m. EST.

However scientists say there is no chance of an impact.

This footage really shakes me up. It seems like as time passes these asteroids inch closer and closer to planet Earth. How freakin’ scary would that be if one did hit Earth? A meteorite hit Russia, which is just a fragment of an asteroid and look at the damage it caused.

The footage people are releasing really put things in perspective for me and I hope it does for you too. There's a reason why countries around the world, including ours, are spending so much money in science. Thank lord for our advancement in it or else we'd all be toast right now.
