Many Held Candlelight Vigils For The One Year Anniversary Of Trayvon Martin's Shooting
It has been one year since George Zimmerman took Trayvon Martin’s life. Crowds of people gathered in New York and Florida yesterday for candlelight vigils in remembrance of Trayvon’s life.
Zimmerman stated that his shooting of Trayvon was “part of God’s plan" when he open fire on the teen who he claimed was a threat.
During an interview with Fox News, Zimmerman stated “I feel that it was all God’s plan, and not for me to second guess it or judge it,” and when asked in retrospect if he would have handled the situation differently, promptly responded with a “No sir.”
Trayvon’s parents, Tracy Martin, 46, and Syvlia Fulton, attended the “Million Hoodies Candlelight Vigil for Trayvon Martin” in New York City.
Zimmerman is presently free on $1 million bail.
