President Obama Appoints The First Female Secret Service Director
President Obama promoted former field agent Julia Pierson to the position of Secret Service Director.
Pierson’s prior credentials as a field agent for George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton entail that she is suited for her new position as the first woman to ever be the Director of the Secret Service.
She has been with the Service since 1983,and President Obama gave a few words of congratulations and respect, “Over her 30 years of experience with the Secret Service, Julia has consistently exemplified the spirit and dedication the men and women of the service demonstrate every day.”
