Nelson Mandela's Condition Worsens -- Remains On Life Support
Nelson Mandela is reportedly on life support.
The former President of South Africa has been admitted in the hospital earlier this month and according to CBS news, his condition has worsened.
Mandela was originally admitted into the hospital on June 8th due to a lung infection and has been receiving treatment for the past 3 weeks.
Current South African President, Jacob Zima said "The doctors are doing everything possible to get his condition to improve and are ensuring that Madiba (Mandel's tribal name) is well-looked after and is comfortable. He is in good hands."
Sadly, many believe that the 94-year-old iconic leader is close to the end.
Nelson Mandela was famous for taking non violent measures in protest of the Apartheid in South Africa. His leadership and following ultimately led to his imprisonment for 27 years.
Mandela is not only a political figure but also a Nobel Peace prize winner.
Let's have him in our thoughts.
