E.S.PJEN: Judge Gives Jason Kidd A Piece Of Her Mind For His DUI

Future Hall-of-Famer, and new coach of the Brooklyn Nets, Jason Kidd, got reprimanded in court by a Hamptons judge after he pleaded guilty to his DUI.

Kidd was charged with a DUI after leaving a club in the Hamptons and crashing his black Escalade into a tree. Judge Andrea Schiavoni of the Southampton Town justice court yelled at Kidd and said, “You could have killed yourself that night,” and “You could have killed someone else.”

For pleading guilty, Kidd now has to give two lectures about the dangers of drunk driving to Suffolk County high schools and if he completes this by September 30th, he will be allowed to have his misdemeanor drunk driving charged knocked down to a violation.

Kidd will also have to pay $8,100 in restitution for the light pole he crashed into that knocked out power to some of the homes in the area where the accident occurred.

You’re a coach now Kidd, no more distractions or screw ups.
