Some Tips To Help Your Commute!

With the snow storm having everyone out of whack, we figured why not provide you guys with some commuter tips. For starters, the temperature will reach a sunny high of 40 degrees, with winds of 20 miles an hour, reaching 40. This is quite the relief considering we've had to bare blistering cold temperatures all week. Here is a run down of important information that might help you out today!

*City schools are open.

*Street parking rules are suspended until Monday, all parking meter rules still apply.

*The snow may melt due to warm temperatures, but be careful because it there may still be some ice out there.

*Subways: No express service on the 6 in the Bronx. Check latest status.

*Rails: Metro-North is on a Saturday schedule — bright side: off-peak fares; downside: fewer than half the usual weekday trains are running. Delays and a reduced schedule on L.I.R.R.

*Cancellations on N.J. Transit’s Montclair-Boonton, North Jersey Coast and Morris & Essex Lines.

*Check L.I.R.R., Metro-North or N.J. Transit status.

*Buses: City buses are running at 80 percent of their normal schedule.

*Roads: Flooding on the Belt Parkway in both directions in Brooklyn. Reduced speed limits: 35 on the New Jersey Turnpike, 45 on the Garden State Parkway. Check traffic map or radio report on the 1s or the 8s.

Ferries: New York Waterway’s East River ferry to the Greenpoint terminal is suspended.
