Big Sean responds to rumors that Kanye West is the one who leaked his forthcoming album.
Rumors began circulating the internet that Sean’s full upcoming album had been leaked. “To whoever did do that, just know it did f*** me up…N*ggas talking about Ye did it….I know he ain’t do that, I love Ye. Without him, there would be no me” Sean said while on Instagram live.
“I know he wouldn’t do that, that’s trash…I know he wouldn’t do know sh*t like that..whoever started that rumor, y’all on some bullsh*t…” he continued.
Sean announced that his new album Better Me Than You, is set to be released August 9th. “Might as well start droppin, before they leak it all, got damn” Sean wrote via X.
In another tweet, he expresses, “the pressure of life—being a new dad, an artist growing, a human in development—and embracing it all led me to clarity on what I needed to focus on to find happiness,” he wrote on X. “The past few years making this album have been a journey, but I’m just glad we’re finally here.”
Ahead of the album, Sean dropped a freestyle where fans assumed he was dissing Kendrick Lamar. “N*ggas looking for engagement like they got they knee bent. I gotta better things to do than find someone to beef with..” the Detroit rapper rapped in the freestyle.
He addressed fans who misconstrued his rhymes. “Yall goin wit so many narratives,” tweeted Sean. “I’m talking to da haters who just keep finding something to point out they don’t like bout me. It’s not even worth explaining, tho. I’m a just focus on the music … So many people turned they back on me, so I appreciate the ones who stayed down. f*ck these b*tch ass n*ggas, every one of them.”
