Drake, once a familiar face on television, appears eager to revisit his roots with an ambitious new project.

The music icon recently hinted at his plans for a TV series inspired by the philanthropic spirit of his 2018 “God’s Plan” music video. During a holiday livestream with Kick streamer Adin Ross, Drake shared his vision, blending generosity with storytelling.

“You see what we’re doing tonight? This is something I’ve wanted to expand on ever since I shot that ‘God’s Plan’ video,” Drake revealed.

He explained his concept for the show: “I want to create God’s Plan the TV series, ten episodes a year. The idea is to travel the world and connect people with the faces behind their charitable donations.” The series, he said, would aim to engage wealthy benefactors, making their contributions more tangible and impactful.

In the original “God’s Plan” video, Drake famously gave away the nearly $1 million music video budget to people in Miami, from scholarships to cash handouts. While rumors suggest the giveaway was entirely funded by the production budget, Drake’s current net worth—estimated at $250 million—means he might not need financial support from others to bring his charitable TV concept to life. Despite reaching out to Jeff Bezos, Drake said he received word that the billionaire wasn’t interested in participating.

The discussion about God’s Plan the TV series came during a particularly heartwarming livestream, which Drake dubbed “Drizzmas.” The rapper gave away life-changing prizes, including $100,000 for a Toronto artist, dream vacations, and trips to see him perform in Australia next year. Some winners walked away with $250,000, a luxury car, or a year’s rent paid in full. Three families even received new vehicles.

Leading up to the event, Drake’s excitement was palpable. “I can’t even sleep,” he shared, teasing the livestream before Christmas. “We’re blessing so many people. It’s the greatest feeling in the world. I am READY.”

As fans eagerly await updates on his potential TV venture, Drake continues to inspire through both his artistry and his unwavering commitment to giving back. Whether it’s through music, television, or acts of kindness, the rapper proves his impact extends far beyond the charts.
