Mary J. Blige makes it clear that Black does not crack. In a recent Instagram post, the 54-year-old singer looked ravishing in a pink, diamond-encrusted two-piece paired with pink fur and cowboy hat. Mary J. Blige had just recently performed a set in New Orleans for her For My Fans tour.”Valentine’s Day in New Orleans was epic [exclamation point emoji] Happy Valentine’s Day weekend everyone [exclamation point emoji] [pink heart emojis],” she wrote in the post’s caption.
The outfit choice has gone over well with her fans, judging by the post’s comment section. “Pretty in pink,” one person wrote. Another fan complimented the singer on her “epic” performance. A few celebrities also hopped in the comments to show Mary some love. “Wowzer sis [heart emojis],” actress Tasha Smith wrote. Busta Rhymes kept it simple and dropped a stream of crown emojis, acknowledging the singer’s impactful career.
Mary J. Blige Fires Staffer For Leaking Tour Setlist
On a more sour note, prior to her tour kicking off the singer had to fire a staff worker for leaking the tour’s setlist. Mary J. Blige told PEOPLE, her setlist was “sacred” to her, and “pissed” it’d been circulated online. “We worked too hard and the setlist is the most private thing. It was unprofessional. Obviously, it was somebody within the camp, and they risked their whole life just to get a couple of likes.”
Luckily, only a portion of the setlist ended up online, and she told the outlet she still had a few tricks up her sleeve. The set list will include hits from her decades-long career, and her latest album, Gratitude. “Only a little bit got leaked, and that’s not even half. People don’t even know what else is coming.” Mary J. Blige’s For My Fans Tour kicked off on Jan.30 in Greensboro, NC and has upcoming stops in major cities including Atlanta, Los Angeles, and New York.
