Rihanna and A$AP Rocky stepped out in style Thursday night to celebrate her 37th birthday. The couple hit up The Nice Guy, a popular Italian spot in L.A., where they were met with a frenzy of flashing cameras as they left.
While Rihanna kept quiet, shielding her eyes from the lights, Rocky made his way to their car, asking people to clear a path. When asked about new music, he playfully responded that it’s coming out “ASAP” before shutting the SUV door.
A unique dessert later emerged from the restaurant. It featured a stack of pancakes and what looked like a bowl of cereal with a dramatic milk splash. It’s unclear if this was Rihanna’s birthday cake, but it was definitely an eye-catching creation.
The celebration comes during a big week for the couple. While Rihanna celebrated another year around the sun, A$AP Rocky received good news of his own. He was acquitted of two counts of assault with a semiautomatic weapon. The charges could have carried a 25-year prison sentence.One juror admitted she believed the gun in question was real but felt there wasn’t enough evidence for a conviction. Meanwhile, Rocky’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, admitted he was nervous about the verdict.
With the legal battle behind him, Rocky and Rihanna are returning to their glamorous life. As always, life in the spotlight is anything but normal.
