Snoop Dogg is pushing to have a $100 million lawsuit against him and Death Row Records thrown out. The legal battle stems from claims made by Lydia Harris, the ex-wife of Death Row co-founder Michael “Harry-O” Harris. Lydia says she helped launch the label back in 1989 by investing $1.5 million but never saw a return once the company began to profit. She alleges that Snoop, Suge Knight, Interscope Records, Time Warner, and Universal Music Group conspired to block her from receiving a $107 million judgment she won in 2005.

In response, Snoop has filed a motion to dismiss the case, arguing that Harris’s claims fall outside the statute of limitations. His legal team has gone further, labeling her a “bad faith litigant” and accusing her of years of “harassment in California” before shifting her legal efforts to Texas, where the latest suit was filed.

While the court has not yet ruled on Snoop’s request, the other companies named in the suit have not made public statements. Harris is seeking a full financial accounting of Death Row’s assets, as well as punitive damages and payment of what she believes she’s owed.

Snoop currently owns Death Row Records, and Suge Knight, who co-founded the label, recently criticized how Snoop is running it. In a candid interview with The Art of Dialogue, Knight questioned the legitimacy of Snoop’s ownership: “Snoop, you said I’m mad because you bought Death Row? What’d you buy? Show me the paperwork. Show me what you own.” Knight also took shots at Snoop’s past ventures, adding, “You going backwards. You tryna create something that Suge Knight created. But instead of going big, you disappointing the world by making everything flops.”
