Deion Sanders and Karrueche Tran sparked rumors of a relationship after the actress was seen in a documentary at the Coach’s bedside. Claudia Jordan, TV host and friend of Coach Prime’s ex, addressed the validity of the relationship over the weekend.
During a recent episode of the Accidentally Informed podcast, Jordan said that Tracey Edmonds, Sanders’ former partner, once asked Tran directly whether she was romantically involved with Sanders.
Jordan described the exchange as taking place at a private event, reportedly hosted by actress Niecy Nash. According to Jordan, Edmonds approached Tran after hearing rumors.
“Tracey had heard the whispers,” Jordan said. “She saw Karrueche at the event and asked, ‘Are you dating Deion?’ Karrueche laughed and said no.”
Jordan, who called herself a longtime friend of Edmonds, said the conversation appeared respectful. She also referenced a photo from the gathering that showed Edmonds and Tran smiling together.
Interest in Sanders’ relationship status intensified after Tran appeared in For Your Glory, a short documentary released in July chronicling Sanders’ recovery from bladder cancer. The film shows Tran sitting beside Sanders during a hospital stay, offering visible emotional support as he discusses his surgeries and health challenges.
For Your Glory marked the first time the Colorado Buffaloes head coach publicly addressed his cancer diagnosis. The intimate scenes with Tran prompted questions about the nature of their relationship, though neither she nor Sanders has made a public statement.
The comments from Jordan arrive just months after Sanders and Edmonds announced the end of their decade-long relationship. The timing of events, along with Karrueche Tran’s appearance in the documentary, has led some to wonder whether their connection began earlier than previously believed.
Sanders, a Hall of Famer and one of the most prominent figures in college football, continues to draw attention both on and off the field. His personal life, particularly when it intersects with celebrity culture, remains a topic of public fascination.
