Jadakiss and Beanie Sigel, once fierce rivals in hip-hop’s battleground, are preparing to release a joint album that few thought possible.

The project, titled Kiss The Mac, is slated for release in 2025 with Philadelphia icon Freeway serving as executive producer. The record will include appearances from both The LOX and State Property, bridging two crews whose conflict defined an era of lyrical combat.

Freeway confirmed the collaboration in a video alongside the two rappers, capping off months of speculation. The news arrives after their appearance on “Motion Picture,” a standout cut from Philadelphia rapper D. Jones’s Still Counting Blessings. That track, also featuring K. Gibbs, marked the first time the two emcees shared a song since their bitter feud of the early 2000s.

Their rivalry became one of the most infamous chapters in rap history. Tensions first erupted after Jay-Z reportedly took subliminal shots at Jadakiss on the remix to R. Kelly’s “Fiesta.”

The moment sparked friction between Roc-A-Fella and The LOX, boiling over in 2002 when State Property unleashed a freestyle aimed at Jadakiss. The diss nearly spiraled into violence, with rumors circulating that Jadakiss considered carrying a firearm to Hot 97 in response.

Over the years, the back-and-forth grew into a full-blown war of words. Diss tracks flew between camps, with Sigel and Jadakiss delivering some of the sharpest, most technical verses of their careers. Fans often rank the battle among the most respected lyrical clashes in rap’s history, as it pushed both emcees to new levels of intensity.

Now, more than two decades later, the two veterans are channeling that energy into collaboration instead of conflict. Kiss The Mac promises to highlight not only their legacies but also the evolution of their artistry. The title itself nods to reconciliation, signaling a new chapter shaped by respect rather than rivalry.

For Beanie Sigel, the project also represents perseverance. After a 2014 shooting left his vocal cords damaged, the Philadelphia rapper revealed he is using artificial intelligence to help restore the voice that once defined his gritty delivery. That fusion of survival and innovation underscores an album already steeped in history.

What began as animosity has transformed into unity. For fans, Kiss The Mac stands as proof that even hip-hop’s most storied battles can eventually give way to creative rebirth.
