Alix Lapri, best known for her breakout role as Effie Morales on the hit Starz series Power Book II: Ghost, has reportedly been arrested in Georgia on serious charges.
According to official records from the DeKalb County Jail, Lapri (real name Alexus Lapri Geier) was booked on August 18, 2025, on charges of third-degree cruelty to children and disorderly conduct. She was released the following day, August 19, 2025.
Under Georgia law, third-degree cruelty to children does not necessarily involve direct physical harm. The statute can apply if a child under 18 is allowed to witness a forcible felony, battery, or family violence incident. Disorderly conduct typically refers to behavior deemed disruptive or threatening to public order.
The news of Lapri’s arrest quickly spread across social media, with mugshots and viral claims fueling widespread speculation. Her Powerbook co-star, Michael Rainey, spoke out after her arrest was made public. “On the real though. Y’all gotta start reading before commenting. She didn’t hurt any kids…”
As of now, Alix Lapri has not issued a public statement regarding the charges.
