Tierra Malcolm, the receptionist present during the alleged 2018 incident involving Cardi B and security guard Emani Ellis at an OB-GYN office, testified that she saw no physical confrontation. On August 27, Malcolm told the court that while she overheard a heated verbal exchange, there was no contact between the rapper and Ellis.

Recalling the event, she said she entered the hallway amid the dispute and observed, “They never got physical.” Malcolm noted a scratch on her own face afterward but suggested it may have been caused by Ellis rather than Cardi B. She added that she positioned herself between the two to help de-escalate tensions, inadvertently turning her back to the rapper during the altercation.

The incident reportedly occurred after the clinic adjusted its schedule to provide privacy for Cardi B, who was four months pregnant at the time.

OB-GYN Corroborates Receptionist’s Account

Dr. David Finke, the attending OB-GYN, supported Malcolm’s version of events, confirming that the receptionist sustained a shoulder injury inflicted by Ellis, while Cardi B did not engage physically. The testimony reinforced the defense’s argument that Cardi B, smaller in stature, would not have initiated an attack.

The confrontation reportedly began when Cardi B accused Ellis of recording her without permission. Her attorneys emphasized the disparity in size and aggression, noting, “She was facing someone who testified they were 240-250 pounds, wearing military boots, and aggressively approaching her.” They added that it was Ellis who issued the threat, “I will fk your st up,” prompting bystanders to intervene.

The court has yet to reach a verdict. The proceedings underscore the challenges of navigating high-profile disputes and illustrate how public perception can shape narratives in celebrity-related cases.
