Kodak Black has found himself at the center of Young Thug and Mariah The Scientist’s ongoing saga after a leaked phone call revealed his alleged messages to the singer. In audio posted by Livebitez on Instagram, Mariah is heard telling Thug that Kodak once reached out to her, saying he was “f***ed up” about her. The note also mentioned his time behind bars, along with Thug’s own incarceration, tied to the YSL RICO trial.
Mariah explained on the call that she turned Kodak down. She also noted that his approach was nothing new to her, claiming he acted the same way from the very first time they met. Thug’s reaction was mostly laughter as she read the message, brushing it aside rather than taking it seriously.
The leak is the latest twist in a series of phone call scandals involving Thug and Mariah. Earlier calls showed the Atlanta rapper admitting to being unfaithful, which created major cracks in their relationship. Although the pair have not appeared together in public recently, speculation continues about whether they will choose to support each other or go their separate ways.
In response to the strain, Thug offered a public apology to Mariah. “My baby I was wrong and I’m sorry for what I put u through,” he wrote on Twitter. “U deserved better from me. Thank you for everything and I will do anything to make this work. U showed me what love is and I hope I haven’t lost u forever… everybody leave her out of this please she’s an innocent girl and feels bad about all of this. Please give her peace.”
Mariah later hinted at her feelings by sharing lyrics from her new project HEARTS SOLD SEPARATELY. Posting words from “Rainy Days,” she reflected on love, resentment, and loss, giving fans a glimpse into her side of the story.
