Yung Miami has been speaking openly about her personal life, but one topic she isn’t entertaining is her current dynamic with JT. During a recent social media livestream, the rapper ended up kicking out a fan who pressed her for details about her friendship with her former City Girls partner, especially in the wake of Cardi B’s pointed remarks.
The livestream started off lighthearted, with Miami and her friends allowing fans to ask questions about relationships. One viewer, however, shifted the conversation in another direction. “What’s your relationship right now with JT now that Cardi B dropped?” the fan asked, according to footage captured by Livebitez on Instagram.
Miami immediately pushed back, saying that wasn’t the type of “relationship” question she meant. The fan argued back, saying, “That’s a relationship.” As the fan realized she was about to be removed from the livestream, they pleaded, “And people want to know your tea, sister. Don’t be – Oh, she ’bout to drop me! Sister, no! Answer it, sister, please! The people want to know about your relat –.” At that point, Miami kicked them off.
For context, the question referenced Cardi B’s recent album Am I The Drama?, where she dissed JT and accused her of being pressured by Lil Uzi Vert into having abortions. JT denied those claims and in turn brought up allegations tied to Stefon Diggs, Cardi’s partner, while also clapping back at Cardi directly.
Miami has previously addressed her break with JT, explaining the distance during an episode of her podcast. “So I don’t really know, like, what was the moment that separated us,” she said. “But I just felt like it became a time where, like, when we was getting together, it just wasn’t connecting. And I was just like… Ain’t no money in the group, you get what I’m saying? Like, we not going to the studio together. I’m doing a feature, people calling for the City Girls… You know, it’s either me or it’s you. […] I just feel like when we got together, it wasn’t hitting. I just feel like we was just in two different head spaces.”
