In a viral moment that lit up social media on October 7, Ty Dolla $ign offered a cryptic update on Vultures 3, the long-delayed final chapter in his collaborative trilogy with Kanye West. West and Ty were last spotted together last week at the TYCOON album release party.

During an interview promoting his upcoming solo album TYCOON, the singer-producer was pressed about the status of the project — a question fans have been asking since Vultures 2 dropped earlier this year.

When the interviewer asked if the album was finished or ever coming out, Ty paused, grinned, and replied, “There was a lot of music that was done. It could have been out at the time, but, uh… how should I say this? 6, 7… 41 [laughs].”

The string of numbers quickly set off a wave of fan theories across X and Reddit, with some suggesting the phrase hinted at a hidden release date or track reference. Others believed it was Ty’s playful way of dodging the question altogether.

Popularized by Detroit rapper Peezy, “6, 7” has become viral Gen Alpha slang. A meme phrase popularized on TikTok that holds no real meaning, used mostly for its absurd, flexible humor. In this light, Ty’s response may have been deliberate misdirection. Possibly using the randomness of meme culture to brush off the mounting pressure for answers about Vultures 3.

His humor, however, couldn’t mask the uncertainty that continues to surround the album. Despite Vultures 1 and 2 delivering chaotic but impactful rollouts earlier this year, the third installment has been shrouded in silence. Sources close to the production have blamed clearance hurdles, creative differences, and changes in distribution strategy for the holdup.

While Ty confirmed that “a lot of music” had been completed, his laughter hinted that the project’s release isn’t imminent. Still, the clip reassured fans that Vultures 3 exists. It’s trapped in the unpredictable orbit of Kanye West’s creative process.

Until something concrete surfaces, Ty’s “6, 7… 41” will stand as another mysterious entry in the mythology of one of hip-hop’s most polarizing collaborations.
