Moneybagg Yo’s latest show in Japan turned into one of the week’s most talked-about viral moments after a male fan unexpectedly kissed the rapper on the cheek mid-performance. The incident, captured on video and widely shared on October 9, shows the Memphis rapper performing his 2023 hit “Doin 2 Much” while moving along the front row to greet fans.

As he leaned in toward an excited concertgoer’s phone camera, the fan suddenly planted a quick kiss on Moneybagg’s cheek. Without breaking stride, the rapper kept performing, continuing to greet the fans with handshakes across the front row.

The video quickly blew up on social media, sparking debate about the rapper’s reaction—or lack of one. User Elit1of1 commented under a Livebitez repost of the clip, “This n*a was the funniest sht ever tho. Dude get a pass.”

Another user, Dominquechinn, added, “It was so sneaky and quick he didn’t have time to react,” suggesting the kiss caught Moneybagg off guard but wasn’t malicious.

Others, however, used the moment to draw comparisons to other rappers with shorter tempers. “If that was a black person he would’ve turned into DaBaby so fast!! Iykyk,” wrote Ya.motherrr, referencing DaBaby’s alleged history of homosexual comments.

Bandsy echoed that sentiment, saying, “DaBaby would have started to swing,” while Saymook225 added, “If that was a n***a, he would have stopped the show & ready to fight.”

Still, some fans defended Moneybagg Yo’s calm demeanor. Dulcetrinitygoldwire wrote, “At least he didn’t take it the wrong way. I believe it’s out of love,” while R0ckstarflies added, “I’m sure that’s not his first time getting kissed on the cheeks by a man. Y’all grow up.”

The moment has since become a trending topic across hip-hop social media, showing how unpredictable fan interactions can get—especially for artists performing overseas. Moneybagg Yo has not addressed the incident publicly.
