Megan Thee Stallion breaks down in tears on stage while sharing the powerful moment she realized she needed to seek therapy.

The Grammy-winning rapper, known for her confidence and bold lyrics, took a vulnerable turn during a recent interview at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center, as she reflected on her healing journey. “I gotta take care of myself. Nobody gonna take care of me,” Megan told the crowd, her voice cracking as fans cheered her on. She went on to explain that she hadn’t recognized how deeply she was struggling until one day it hit her all at once.

“I didn’t know that I needed to go to therapy until one day I was just like, oh damn, I am so sad… it’s really terrifying that I am so sad,” she said, pausing to wipe away tears.

The emotional moment comes as Megan continues to open up about her mental health and recovery. In her recent Amazon Prime documentary Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words, the Houston native revealed how she turned to therapy after enduring significant personal losses, including the death of her mother and the trauma following the 2020 shooting incident.

“I had to stop pretending I was okay,” she said in the film. “I was drinking to numb everything, but it wasn’t helping. Therapy was the only thing that helped me start to heal.”
