GloRilla is clearing up speculation about her personal life, and she’s choosing to do it in her own controlled way. During her recent sit-down with Complex, she revealed how her connection with Toronto Raptors forward Brandon Ingram actually began, offering just enough detail while still protecting their privacy. According to her, the two first met on Thanksgiving 2024, and it was Ingram who approached her. Beyond that, she kept the rest of the story to herself. “But that’s it, that’s all I’ma say,” she explained, emphasizing that their relationship is something she prefers to keep off the internet. “I’m not gonna speak too much about our relationship because I kind of like our privacy… We don’t really be too much in the public.”

The attention around them only grew as fans noticed GloRilla courtside at games, a detail she didn’t hide from. Laughing about the sightings, she said, “I’m a big fan of basketball.” She also confirmed that a small lyric switch in her song “TGIF”—a change fans immediately linked to Ingram—was intentional. “Mhm, yup. I said what I said, too,” she added.

Though her relationship with Ingram took center stage, GloRilla also addressed other recent headlines. When asked about where she stands with Young Thug following the leaked jail call that went viral months earlier, she kept her response simple and didn’t linger on the drama. “We cool,” she said, confirming that the two resolved things privately.

Her Complex interview also touched on the momentum she’s building as the lone woman in this year’s Best Rap Album race. Even with all the success, she admitted she still gets nervous performing at major events. “I think it’s cause other celebrities be there and…it be on TV. But I be nervous.”

One unexpected highlight of the past year for her was partying alongside Beyoncé. GloRilla recalled the moment with a mix of awe and embarrassment, saying, “Every time I see her, tears come down my face.” She remembered trying to hold herself together as they took a photo: “I said, ‘Uh uh. Beyonce, girl, stop!’”

While she later joked about releasing an R&B album, fans made it clear—if a Beyoncé and GloRilla collaboration ever happened, they’d be ready.
