Cardi B is easing into postpartum life in a way only she can, by expanding her body-jewelry collection. Not long after giving birth to her fourth child, a son she shares with NFL player Stefon Diggs, the rapper visited New York piercer Robbie (@nyc.piercing) for a set of new piercings. Robbie shared footage of the appointment, showing Cardi getting “fresh” dermal implants placed along her back as well as a surface piercing at the base of her neck. These types of piercings sit under the skin with a small anchor, and although professionals typically recommend waiting several months after childbirth, Robbie simply captioned the moment with, “Loving the vibe!”
Piercings are nothing new for Cardi, who has experimented with a wide variety over the years. Earlier this year, she surprised fans when she revealed on X that she had chosen to get her butt crack pierced with a diamond worth $13,000. When discussing it on the Call Her Daddy podcast in September, she shared that the procedure “didn’t hurt,” crediting the numbing process. She also explained why her pain tolerance was different from most people’s. “I’m not gonna recommend it to people because I had surgery on my butt,” she said.
“Sometimes people say that my butt is too big, but they don’t understand they already did a butt surgery to reduce my ass… I practically did a tummy tuck on my ass… So, like, the top of my ass, that skin part is numb. So when I pierce my ass, I ain’t feel s—. It was, it was the easiest piercing ever.”
