In a recent Instagram Live, Summer Walker chatted with fans about her ongoing battle with social anxiety, noting that she has “come a long way” since the beginning of her career.
Walker, who’s been open about her anxiety struggles, has faced criticism for dressing provocatively. It’s been implied that Walker doesn’t actually have anxiety because of how she presents herself, an idea which she refutes. “Having social anxiety doesn’t mean you can’t dress a certain way, that you can’t have fun, that you can’t go out and shake a**,” she said. “It just means you’re comfortable with who you’re comfortable with.”
While the singer admits she’s participated in therapy and completed “spiritual work,” she still struggles with her anxiety, particularly when interacting with fans. However, unlike in the past, she’s set boundaries for herself. “Y’all don’t know me,” she said. “I don’t hug nobody, I don’t like to touch nobody. When my fans run up to me, and they just wanna jump on me or be real touchy-feely, I don’t do that with nobody. Y’all may think it’s weird, and that’s okay. Y’all don’t have to like it, that’s alright too. But, it’s still me.”

In other news, last November, Summer Walker spoke out after leaked audio sparked a wave of drama between her, Rich The Kid, and his fiancée Tori Brixx. The clip was shared by major gossip platforms and allegedly captured Summer encouraging Rich to continue seeing her, even with his relationship with Tori in the picture.
In the audio, she can be heard expressing happiness for their engagement while still wanting time with him, and one particular moment fans can’t stop reacting to is her saying she would not mind if Rich saved her contact as “Pizza Hut.” Once the recording spread across social media, Rich The Kid offered his side of the story. He claimed that Summer Walker is still after him and that she missed her moment with him. Summer immediately fired back and insisted that Rich has no real love for Tori Brixx.
