Emily B is sharing a deeply personal part of her life with the world. In honor of Autism Awareness Month, the reality star and entrepreneur took to Instagram to open up about her youngest daughter, Journey, revealing that she is autistic and nonverbal.
“For a long time, I kept this part of my life private… publicly,” Emily wrote. “Not because I was ashamed. Not because I didn’t love her loudly. But because some journeys feel sacred.”
In her heartfelt message, Emily introduced fans to her daughter’s experience, explaining that Journey is on the autism spectrum and faces additional challenges. “My daughter Journey is autistic. She is nonverbal,” she shared. “She has sensory processing challenges. She was born with PHACE syndrome—a very rare congenital condition.”
Emily described how Journey experiences the world differently, and how that reality has transformed her as a mother. “She’s changed me in ways I still can’t fully put into words,” she wrote. “There have been moments of fear. Moments of learning. Moments where I had to become stronger than I ever imagined.”
Despite the challenges, Emily emphasized that love has been the driving force behind her journey. “But more than anything… there has been LOVE.”
By sharing her story, Emily B not only sheds light on autism and rare conditions like PHACE syndrome, but also offers support and visibility to families navigating similar paths.
