A recent concert appearance by hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg has sparked a wave of online criticism.
The long-time artist is facing backlash after video footage surfaced showing a young child dancing onstage in close proximity to a stripper pole.
The controversy began when clips from a recent live performance started circulating on social media platforms like Instagram and X. In the footage, a young girl is seen standing near the rapper while a professional dancer performs moves on what appears to be a “stripper” pole.
“No y’all can’t blame Snoop y’all got to blame the parents,” wrote one user on Instagram, echoing a common sentiment among the rapper’s defenders. Others were more critical of the production itself, with one person noting that the child “should have had the child escorted off the stage immediately” once the adult entertainment began.
After the clip went viral, Snoop Dogg jumped online to clarify. He explains, ” “Under fire? Her father let her get on stage. She was dancing all night. I let a fan have fun. Her parents were there. Sorry try again. Carry on. ”
