Karlous Miller is setting the record straight after Nick Cannon revisited his departure from Wild ‘N Out during a recent sit-down on Club Shay Shay with Shannon Sharpe.
Cannon framed the situation as a misunderstanding rather than a dismissal. “The way I feel about Wild ’N Out—no one’s ever fired. It’s an open door policy,” he said.
He added, “I d*mn sure made sure that Karlous was back,” while also claiming he pitched Miller’s 85 South Show to MTV, insisting the network “didn’t see the vision.”
Miller responded swiftly on X, offering a far more pointed version of events. “That’s right. He don’t fire nobody, he gets them other mfs to do it and act like he don’t know shit about it,” he wrote, rejecting Cannon’s account.
His posts reframed the fallout as a business dispute rooted in compensation and creative credit. “Karlous Miller ‘drama’ includes asking to be paid correctly,” he added, calling out what he described as unfair.

The Atlanta comedian painted a tense picture of negotiations with MTV. “MTV: ‘You should get some better representation if you don’t like the offer,’” he wrote. “Gets better representation… MTV: ‘Fuck this guy! Am I right?’”
Miller also addressed the public perception of the situation. “They keep bringing the shit up and trying to make me look crazy,” he said, pushing back.
He described himself as “just a [man] at work that ain’t gone let mfs handle me any kind of way,” signaling a refusal to accept unfavorable treatment.
His final remarks cut to the core of his stance. “Just give me that lil money we talked about and you’ll never have a problem with me,” he wrote.
Miller’s responses challenge Cannon’s viewpoint and redirect the focus from opportunity to labor and ownership in the entertainment industry.
