A cryptic Instagram Story posted by rapper Pooh Shiesty, whose legal name is Lontrell Williams Jr, has drawn attention as he awaits trial in a federal kidnapping and robbery case that prosecutors allege involved an associate of rapper Gucci Mane.
On May 31, Williams shared a brief message on Instagram that read, “1,2,3 not it.”
The post offered no additional context, leaving its meaning open to interpretation as his attorneys continue preparing for trial in a complex multi-defendant prosecution pending in the Northern District of Texas.
The phrase “not it” originates from a childhood game in which participants seek to avoid being selected for an undesirable task. In modern usage, the expression can also signify, “that’s not me,” “I’m not involved,” or “I’m not taking the blame.”

Gucci Mane would release his latest track, “Crash Dummy,” after Pooh Shiesty was denied bond in April. In the track, Gucci Mane would recreate the alleged encounter with Pooh Shiesty and crew inside the Dallas recording studio.
The social media post surfaced days after Williams’ defense team filed an unopposed motion seeking to classify the case as complex. Attorneys Dan Cogdell, John M. Helms, and Kent Schaffer told the court that the defense has received more than 96 gigabytes of discovery. It includes approximately 14,000 pages of documents, along with audio and video evidence generated by multiple law enforcement agencies.
According to the filing, both prosecutors and defense counsel agreed that additional time is necessary. The parties also requested a revised scheduling order.
Despite speculation surrounding the Instagram Story, Williams provided no explanation for the post. Gucci Mane has not publicly responded to further developments in the trial.
Before his arrest, Pooh Shiesty was preparing to release his upcoming album, Shiesty Summer ’26.
