Hip-Hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was reportedly placed in administrative segregation after an alleged altercation with another inmate at FCI Fort Dix, New Jersey, an incident that could carry disciplinary consequences if prison officials determine he violated Bureau of Prisons rules.
According to TMZ, multiple sources said the incident occurred earlier this week inside FCI Fort Dix. The report alleges the confrontation began after another inmate made disparaging remarks toward Combs, escalating into a physical exchange before correctional officers intervened.
Sources told TMZ that prison staff separated the inmates and placed Combs in administrative segregation, commonly known as solitary confinement. It remains unclear whether he has since returned to the general prison population or whether disciplinary proceedings are pending.
Neither FCI Fort Dix nor the Federal Bureau of Prisons has confirmed that the reported altercation occurred.

Responding to TMZ’s inquiry, an FCI Fort Dix representative declined to discuss the matter, stating, “We are not at liberty to disclose or provide internal information pertaining to any inmate in our custody. Such information would not be available for the public domain.”
The Federal Bureau of Prisons likewise cited its policy against discussing individual inmates, saying, “We don’t comment on disciplinary matters, or other information regarding individual inmates due to privacy, safety, and security concerns.”
If prison officials conclude that Combs violated institutional regulations, he could face administrative sanctions under Bureau of Prisons disciplinary procedures. Potential penalties may include the loss of earned good-conduct time credits, disciplinary segregation or restrictions on institutional privileges, depending on the findings of any internal review.
Combs is currently projected to be released from federal custody in February 2028. If he continues to earn available good-conduct time. A disciplinary finding could affect that projected release date.
No publicly available disciplinary records have been released. Prison officials have not announced whether an internal investigation has been opened.
