As the weather warms up, some people are wondering how COVID-19 will impact the upcoming months.
During New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s daily briefing today (May 15), he announced that the regions (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Delaware), have reached a joint agreement on beaches. “State beaches will open Friday of Memorial Day weekend with strict precautions.Beaches will be at 50% capacity & masks will be required when social distance not possible. Staff will enforce.”

Cuomo also said that the minimum rules have to be enforced. He added that if local governments don’t abide by the rules, the beaches will close again. In addition, NY’s on pause order has been extended until May 28 for regions that don’t begin opening today.
