The hip hop community is mourning the loss of Nipsey Hussle.
On IG, Young Scooter made a Nipsey tribute post and people are upset at Future’s comment.
The post was a screenshot of an old Tweet by Nipsey talking about how he tried to show his friends a better way of life. Young Scooter wrote in the caption, “we need more” people like that.
Future responded, “I been teaching and preaching for a decade also showing and proving what hard work and dedication get you. #RIPNIP.” This did not sit well with Nipsey Hussle fans.
People online felt like he turned the moment about him. Others began to question what he has done for the black community.
Before Nipsey’s passing, he was deeply invested in giving back to his neighborhood. He bought property, cryptocurrency, and was working on a Dr. Sebi documentary. His music also spread positive messages and didn’t focus on lean and pills.
