Nipsey Hussle was a role model for his community, and still finding ways to improve that relationship before his tragic murder.
The rapper was scheduled to meet with the Los Angeles Police Department Board of Police Commissioners and the Chief of Polic today with Roc Nation to discuss different ways to stop gang violence.
Steve Soboroff, president of the city’s police commission announced the plans on his Twitter feed shortly after news of the tragedy broke.
We (@LAPDChiefMoore and I ) were meeting , at the request of @NipseyHussle with him and @rocnation tomorrow at 4pm to talk about ways he could help stop gang violence and help us help kids. I’m so very sad https://t.co/rcGtvw9c6L

Hussle was shot multiple times and killed outside of Marathon Clothing Company store which he owned in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti was also among many to pay his respects to the rapper, who spent much of his life influencing, motivating, and working for change in his community.
Our hearts are with the loved ones of Nipsey Hussle and everyone touched by this awful tragedy. L.A. is hurt deeply each time a young life is lost to senseless gun violence. My Crisis Response Team is assisting the families coping with shock and grief.
