This is so heartbreaking.

While many of us were enjoying food with our families this past Thanksgiving (November 22), this one Alabama family is mourning the loss of their 21-year-old son. On Thursday evening a fight broke out at the mall while people were doing Black Friday shopping.

The fight ended with an unidentified man pulling out a gun and shooting an 18-year-old man twice in the torso. At first, police believed that Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford Jr. was the shooter so they shot and killed him.

The next day, they issued a statement saying they made a mistake. Reported on NBC, some of the statement said Bradford, “may have been involved in some aspect of the altercation and had a handgun but likely did not fire the rounds.”

Bradford’s family learned of his death on social media and are heartbroken by this. They’ve hired an attorney and are seeking answers, like surveillance video that would show exactly what happened.

We pray justice is served.
