UFC Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has been receiving tons of backlash as well as praise, but also pressure following his actions after beating Conor McGregor on Saturday (Oct. 6).
The brawl has been one of the biggest headlines in sports in the past week, and UFC president is currently undergoing pressure about the type of punishment he will lay on Khabib after juming out of the octogon to attack one of McGregor’s trainers.
In a lengthy Instagram post, he questions why McGregor wasn’t punished after throwing a dolly at a bus carrying UFC fighters, hurting several that were on the bus. He also questions why anyone on his team would be punished, although they too attacked McGregor during the melee.
Khabib also isn’t worried about getting any of the money as he addressed that issue at the end of his message.
“You can keep my money that you are withholding. You are pretty busy with that, I hope it won’t get stuck in your throat. We have defended our honor and this is the most important thing.”
