In most cases, mother’s are the most supporting beings on the earth. They can make the smallest accomplishments seem like the best thing in the world.
Kendrick Lamar’s mother showed off her support in quite possibly the best way ever over the weekend. In a rare Instagram post, K. Dot shared a text message sent from his mother that was full of emoji’s, pride, and happiness. It also proves that his mother is just like everyone else with her review of the project. A non-biased one of course as she said it’s “bomb, bomb, bomb.”
She must not be the only one to think so as the numbers are in, and Kendrick Lamar has officially posted the largest sales week of any artist in 2017. He sold 353,000 albums in the first week, which equal to 603,000 in sales plus stream totals. He beats Drake who previously held the record in 2017 with 505,000 total sales of his latest album playlist More Life. Hip hop wins.
As for rumors that he would be releasing new music in the near future, K. Dot broke some fans hearts by admitting that he doesn’t have anything else coming down the pipeline anytime soon.
